Pilot Program In New Jersey County Might Lower Dental Bills 50%

Atlantic County New Jersey residents will be able to participate in a unique program aimed at improving dental care for County residents. Referred to as a dental discount program, county officials say residents will be able to save on average 50% on all types dental care including oral exams, cleanings, root canals, dentures and even braces.

Atlantic County is one of 38 counties nationwide selected for the pilot program that will utilize more than 400 local dentists and specialists. The program launches at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the John H. Cronin Dental Center, 235 Dolphin Avenue in Northfield, New Jersey.

The problem with this pilot program project is that they use one type of discount plan for all 38 different counties where they are implemented when in reality there are frequently better dental discount plans which are local based rather than nationwide that would save the citizens of that specific county more money on dental work.
